Carolina Artists Guild welcomes Bruce Wilson for “framing your masterpiece” mini workshop

The Carolina Artists Guild is offering a fun and free mini workshop during the regular monthly meeting Thursday, March 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (100 N. Jackson St. entrance) in Salisbury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for meeting and refreshments. The program starts at 7 p.m.
The mini workshop “Framing Your Masterpiece” will offer a fun experience as The Fine Frame Gallery owner Bruce Wilson shares framing tips and trade secrets.
Wilson has been in the framing business since 1975. He began his career in Charlotte then opened a second location, The Fine Frame Gallery, at 105 South Main Street in Salisbury in 1998.
Wilson focuses on custom design for artwork of all mediums, including frame repair, restoration and a large selection of ready-made frames.
The Fine Frame Gallery has been working to support, encourage and showcase local artists for 30 years, and it offers a wide range of local art in all mediums in the gallery.
The Carolina Artists will be hosting their annual Spring Art Showcase and Sale at the Spencer Women’s club on 3rd Street in Spencer April 16-18. The members only show will be open April 16 from 6-8 p.m. and April 17-18 from 1-8 p.m. A meet-the-artist reception will be April 18 from 6-8 p.m. A wide variety of original art will be available.
The Carolina Artists are also hosting a two-day Plein Air Workshop featuring North Carolina Plein Air Artist Jeremy Sams on May 21-22. The workshop will include a studio workshop plus a day of on-location instruction. Those interested may respond to the number at the end of the article. Space limited.
Artists, photographers and art lovers from beginners to seasoned artists are encouraged to attend monthly meetings.
