ROWAN COUNTY — Two people, including a man who had to be airlifted for injuries, have been charged in connection to the Woodleaf stabbing Tuesday night that injured two people.
Michael Dillion Lovell, 26, was arrested Friday at approximately 12:30 a.m. and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and affray.
Makenzie Annette Stephens, 28, was arrested at approximately the same time and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
The arrests of Stephens and Lovell were listed under the same case number as the Tuesday incident in Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Lovell was the person severely injured in the incident on Tuesday, with the sheriff’s office identifying him as the person airlifted to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist with stab wounds to the neck.
Another person the report lists as being involved in the altercation on Tuesday was 44-year-old Carrie Denise Barnette Ingram, who was arrested and charged with simple assault on Monday in relation to a separate incident. Ingram was released without a bond before Tuesday, according to sheriff’s office reports. It is currently unclear how exactly Ingram was involved in the incident on Tuesday.
