Concord Police searching for teen with Kannapolis ties

CONCORD — The Concord Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a teen with family in the Kannapolis area.
According to a release from Concord Public Affairs and Project Manager Lindsay Manson, Makil Davis, 16, was reported missing by the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services after he walked away from the Concord Library on Feb. 12.
The release indicated that at the time he was last seen, Davis was wearing blue jeans, a blue hooded sweatshirt and carrying a black backpack.
He is reportedly 5-foot 3-inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.
Detectives have been in communication with the family and have followed up on several leads since he went missing. Detectives believe he may be in the Kannapolis area.
While a bulletin was sent to area law enforcement agencies and detectives have received several leads, Davis has still not been located and the public’s help is requested.
