MISENHEIMER — Pfeiffer Unicersity’s softball team won 1-0 and 8-0 in Saturday’s doubleheader with Greensboro and clinched at least a share of the USA South Conference championship.

Pfeiffer (34-1) is ranked 12th in Division III.

Kali Morton, a Mooresville High grad who starred for Rowan Little League’s 2015 World Series champs, is 16-0 this season for the Falcons. She pitched Saturday’s 1-0 victory.

Pfeiffer coach Monte Sherrill has coached conference champions at Alexander Central, Central Cabarrus and Pfeiffer for 35 seasons.
