High school baseball: Hornets roll against North Rowan on Senior Night

SALISBURY — Five Salisbury pitchers combined on a one-hitter in Tuesday’s 15-2 Senior Night win against North Rowan (2-12, 2-9).
“We got to get everyone involved, and that’s always a good thing,” Salisbury coach Carson Herndon said.
Hank Webb, Landon Tucker, Ben Young, Aiden Mowery and Mike Geter pitched for the Hornets, who honored seniors Mowery, Geter and Jaylin Graham-Taylor.
Mowery, Tucker and Young drove in two runs each for the Hornets (11-10, 6-5).
Tucker and Young had two hits.
Geter scored three runs, while Mowery, Tucker, Webb and Evan Koontz scored two each.
“Mike was on base all night, and Hank really threw well in the first inning,” Herndon said.
Salisbury was 37th in the 2A West RPI rankings before Tuesday’s win.
