ROWAN COUNTY — A Yadkin County man was arrested after Rowan County deputies said an investigation discovered alleged sex crimes against a local child. 

Dustin Andrew Garrison, 38, was arrested by the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and served with arrest warrants for indecent liberties with children and a statutory sex offense, according to a release from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. 

According to the release, the abuse was reported to Rowan County deputies in March, at which point the sheriff’s office opened an investigation. Investigators reportedly discovered that the alleged abuse occurred at a relative’s home in Rowan County as well as Garrison’s home in Yadkin County. The victim was known to Garrison, according to the release.

Garrison was placed in the Yadkin County Detention Center and given a $250,000 bond.
