Anduin “Andy” Craighill-Middleton is a Democratic write-in candidate for U.S. House District 6, a newly-created district that spans Rowan, Davie and Davidson counties plus parts of Guilford, Forsyth and Cabarrus counties. He will be the featured speaker at the Rowan Democratic Breakfast at Democratic Headquarters, located 1504 West Innes Street in Salisbury, on May 11. The potluck breakfast begins at 10 a.m., doors open at 9:45 a.m. Questions and discussion will follow the breakfast.

Craighill-Middleton is a North Carolinian with roots in Kannapolis. A former graphic designer, marketing director for American cosmetics and fashion brands, elected county party official, local Young Democrats of N.C. president, and culinary arts major, Andy has worked to use his ability to connect with people and ideas to help push progressive causes since his childhood in the ’90s. He has a history of volunteer work with Cabarrus County libraries, local LGBTQ organizations, community mental health groups and local Democratic parties. Now, as a father, he seeks to keep the state and country moving forward to a place where all truly are welcome to thrive.

“Andy is a deeply caring, competent, intelligent person. He is committed to making the world a safer, better place for all people. I believe his will be a strong voice in Washington representing all the residents in our area. I heartily endorse him,” said Rowan County Democratic Party Chair Geoffrey Hoy.

As the U.S. House of Representatives candidate in N.C. District 6, he works to promote policies including establishing committees to look at the underlying issues causing the current mental health crises, committing to a higher standard of education and fighting against discriminatory policies.

Hear more from Andy Craigehill-Middleton on Saturday and learn why he said “We need someone in office who will fight for us, not their corporate donors. As your congressman, I will stand with you, listen to you, and uplift our communities — as North Carolinians, we are stronger together. Let’s take this seat for all of us and make sure we’ve got a voice in Congress! We’re not tolerating what we can’t change anymore — we’re changing what we can’t tolerate. Let’s get to work.”
