Man charged with returning to same location multiple times and breaking into vehicles

KANNAPOLIS — A man has been charged with multiple counts of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle after police said he went back to an auto repair store in Kannapolis multiple times and stole from vehicles.
Billy Ray McIntyre, 63, was arrested on Tuesday according to online jail records and charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and two counts of misdemeanor first-degree trespassing.
McIntyre was charged in relation to multiple vehicle break-ins that had been reported at Kings Autobody, located at 2101 N. Main St., said Kannapolis Communications Director Annette Privette Keller. The break-ins all occurred in March and April, according to Kannapolis Police Department reports.
McIntyre was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center and given a $70,000 bond, according to public jail records.
