SALISBURY — Donna Williams Groce, learning for life director at Trinity Oaks senior living community in Salisbury, graduated from the prestigious LeadingAge North Carolina Leadership Academy during a ceremony held on May 8 in Asheville as part of the association’s 2024 Annual Conference and Expo.
The academy is a year-long program designed to develop statewide leaders in the field of aging services. Fellows of the academy explore the core principles of transformational leadership, person-centered care and innovation through group exercise and discussions, site visits, projects, assignments and readings. The goal is to cultivate authentic, collaborative servant leaders who are prepared to address the needs of North Carolina’s senior communities.
“It has been such an honor to participate in the Academy and I’m so grateful for the opportunity,” Groce said. “Our entire cohort grew more confident as leaders throughout the year. We look forward to maintaining the connections we made.”
