LOS ANGELES — It’s almost time for The Voice finale, and Kannapolis native Josh Sanders is one of the five finalists competing for the title of Season 25 winner.
The season premiered on Feb. 26, beginning with blind auditions, during which both Reba McEntire and Dan and Shay hit their buttons indicating they wanted Sanders for their teams. He selected country legend McEntire as his coach, becoming one of 40 artists to compete.
Competition continued with the battle portion followed by the knockouts and playoffs with Sanders advancing in each round to the live performances.
Viewer voting advanced Sanders to take a semi-finalist spot and then to become one of the five five finalists.
The finale will be held May 20 on NBC beginning at 8 p.m. Each of the five will perform for the last time with viewers casting their vote deciding who will become the winner, which will be announced May 21.
Voting can take place on the Voice website, at voice.vote.nbc.com or the official Voice app.
