A special Memorial Day event, sponsored by Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 1420 S. Main St., China Grove, will be held to honor those in the military who lost their lives while serving their country.

Scheduled for Monday, May 27, at 2 p.m., the ceremony will include Martha Corriher who will be the guest speaker, along with military honors presented by the Lyerly Funeral Home Joint Service Honor Guard.

Also in attendance for the event will be various community service groups.

The community is encouraged to attend and join them in honoring, celebrating and expressing their gratitude for those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
