ROCKWELL — An Eller Road man was in critical condition today after being kicked in the head by a horse Wednesday evening.
Samuel Owen was taken by helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after the incident happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Medical responders were called to the Eller Road home in response to a traumatic injury. Owen was found bleeding from the head and mouth.
A helicopter landed at nearby Immanuel Lutheran Church.
