Police investigating after Jersey Mike’s broken into, robbed

SALISBURY — Police are investigating after a manager at Jersey Mike’s reported to work only to find that someone had broken a front window and stolen money from the store.
Officers were called to the store, located at 850 Jake Alexander Boulevard West, at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Thursday in reference to a reported breaking and entering, according to police reports. When they arrived on scene, they were told that the manager had come in to work that morning and found that a front window had been broken and money had been stolen from the register and a safe, said Major Justin Crews, public information officer for the Salisbury Police Department.
The police report for the incident lists $1,173 as the stolen property from the incident as well as safes, cash registers and the window on a door as damaged property. The report also states that the burglary could have occurred at any point between 3:10 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Crews said that officers are continuing to investigate the incident and that no suspects had been identified as of Friday morning.
