In Salisbury Police Department reports:

  • Fraud by false pretenses occurred in the 800 block of East Innes Street at 10:52 a.m. on June 7. The total estimated loss was $51.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 7 p.m. on June 7. The total estimated loss was $56.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street between 11 p.m. on June 3 and 7:46 p.m. on June 7. The total estimated loss was $520.
  • An assault with a gun occurred in the 1,000 block of South Church Street at 2:25 p.m. on June 8. Officers responded to the home in reference to one person threatening another with a firearm. Due to conflicting accounts of the incident and no evidence being present, officers reportedly advised the people involved to obtain private warrants.
  • An assault occurred in the 600 block of Linn Lane at 6:45 p.m. on June 8.
  • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 400 block of Ferndale Drive at 8 p.m. on June 8.
  • A larceny occurred in the 1000 block of East Innes Street at 12:30 p.m. on June 9. The total estimated loss was $30.
  • Fraud by impersonation occurred in the 100 block of Crawford Street between 3 p.m. on June 2 and 2 p.m. on June 8. It was reported on June 9.
  • Shoplifting occurred in the 300 block of South Arlington Street at 7:35 p.m. on June 9. The total estimated loss was $13.
  • A larceny occurred in the 2200 block of Statesville Boulevard at 9:40 p.m. on June 9. The total estimated loss was $100.
  • Possession of a dangerous drug occurred in the 1500 block of East Innes Street at 11 p.m. on June 9.
  • Mystjkal Armonique Phifer, 25, was charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance on June 7.

In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

  • Possession of a dangerous drug occurred in the 10,700 block of Stokes Ferry Road at 9:44 a.m. on June 6.
  • Fraud by wire, computer or electronic manipulation occurred in the 10,200 block of N.C. Highway 801 between 7 p.m. on March 27 and 8 a.m. on March 28. It was reported on June 6.
  • A larceny occurred in the 65,000 block of South Interstate 85 between noon and 6:47 p.m. on June 6. Sheriff’s office reports indicate that car parts valued at an estimated $2,510 were stolen from a trailer.
  • Possession of a dangerous drug occurred at North Main Street at 12:20 p.m. on June 7.
  • Possession of a dangerous drug occurred at North Main Street at 3:25 p.m. on June 7. Sheriff’s office reports indicate that narcotics were found in the Rowan County Detention Center.
  • Vandalism occurred in the 64,000 block of South Interstate 85 at 12:30 p.m. on June 7.
  • A larceny occurred in the 900 block of Barnhardt Road between noon on Sep. 20, 2022, and noon on Oct. 15, 2022. It was reported on June 7, 2024.
  • An assault occurred in the 5,900 block of U.S. Highway 52 at 2:45 p.m. on June 7.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 100 block of Newell Avenue between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. on June 7. The total estimated loss was $100.
  • A larceny from a motor vehicle occurred in the 400 block of Wildlife Access Road between 7 a.m. on June 4 and 4:30 p.m. on June 7. The total estimated loss was $1,175.
  • An assault and vandalism occurred in the 2,000 block of West C Street at 10:07 p.m. on June 7.
  • A larceny occurred at Performance Road between 6 p.m. on June 6 and 8 a.m. on June 7. It was reported on June 8.
  • A larceny occurred at West Main Street in Rockwell between noon and 1:30 p.m. on June 8.
  • Credit card fraud occurred at Statesville Boulevard between 6 a.m. on May 1 and noon on May 9. It was reported on June 8.
  • A larceny from a building occurred at Organ Church Road at 5:40 p.m. on June 8.
  • Vandalism occurred at Cavin Lane at 7 p.m.on June 8.
  • James Michael Gibson, 62, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female on June 6.
  • Rachel Anne Banks, 34, was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a schedule I controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance on the premises of a penal institution on June 6.
  • Samantha Marie Lehr, 33, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor simple assault on June 7.
  • Tara Jean Vaughn, 52, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a government official on June 7.
  • Stanley Shafer Hamilton, 61, was charged with misdemeanor communicating threats on June 7.
  • Carnis Ferdinand Poindexter Jr., 24, was charged with misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun, misdemeanor providing officers with fictitious information, misdemeanor driving without an operator’s license, misdemeanor displaying an expired registration plate, misdemeanor possessing a fictitious tag or license plate, three counts of misdemeanor larceny  and felony robbery with a firearm or dangerous weapon. Poindexter was arrested after a deputy noticed that the registration plate on his vehicle appeared to be altered. Deputies then reportedly discovered that he had three arrest warrants for larceny and a warrant for robbery with a firearm from another jurisdiction.
  • Tony Michael Rippey Jr., 59, was charged with misdemeanor displaying a fictitious tag or license plate on June 8.
