Schenk – Hardee
Erin Elizabeth Schenk and Christopher Scott Hardee were united in marriage Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Historic Organ Zion Lutheran Church. Pastor David Ridenhour officiated the 3 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the church’s Fellowship Hall.
The bride was escorted by her father, Steve Schenk, and attended by her aunt, Jennifer Schenk of Salisbury, as matron of honor. Hanna Schenk of Salisbury, the bride’s sister-in-law, was bridesmaid.
Richard Hardee was his son’s best man. Groomsmen included Ted Jackson of Raleigh and brother of the bride Eric Schenk and uncle of the bride Christopher Schenk, both of Salisbury. Brother of the bride William Artz III of Faith was junior usher.
Alexcis Duren and Maddison Schenk were flower girls, and CJ Hardee, the bridal couple’s son, was ring bearer. William Artz III of Faith was acolyte.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Carla Schenk of Salisbury and Buddy and Dianne Artz of Faith and the granddaughter of Douglas and Judy Schenk of Spencer and the late Horace and Willie Mae Mills. A 2005 graduate of East Rowan High School, she earned a degree in nursing from Carolinas College of Health Sciences in 2010 and is employed by Heritage Plantation.
The groom is the son of Richard and Mary Hardee of West End and grandson of Lois and the late Grover Hardee of Tabor City and Harold and the late Flora Mae Kinlaw of Whiteville. A 1997 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School, he is employed by Lion Services.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents Friday, March 30 at Sweet Meadow Cafe in Salisbury.
Following a wedding trip to Topsail Island, the couple will make their home in Kannapolis.
