KANNAPOLIS — A Kannapolis woman was arrested after police received information that she had inappropriate encounters with a juvenile male.
The police department recently received information about a woman, identified as 32-year-old Dara Christine Allman, having an inappropriate encounter with a teenaged juvenile and began an investigation into the incident, said Annette Privette Keller, director of communications for Kannapolis.
The investigation reportedly revealed evidence that the inappropriate encounter included sexual acts being committed by Allman, said Keller. At some point during the investigation, Allman allegedly also attempted to destroy digital evidence of the encounters.
Allman was arrested by Kannapolis police officers on Friday and charged with taking indecent liberties with a child; soliciting a child by computer; and altering, stealing and destroying criminal evidence.
Allman was then transported to the Cabarrus County Magistrate’s Office, where she was issued a $15,000 bond, according to Keller.
