Staff report

Owen White (Carson) may be getting back on track.

White pitched six scoreless innings in Triple-A on Tuesday. White’s Round Rock team won 1-0 against Sugar Land.

White allowed two hits, struck out five and walked two.

While his record is only 2-4 with a 4.45 ERA at Round Rock, he’s trending in the right direction. His previous start was also very good as he pitched into the seventh inning in a 2-0 loss to El Paso.

White has been used in a relief role in two games this season by the Texas Rangers, and he should get another shot in the big leagues before the summer is over.

Drafted in 2018 as a second-round pick out of high school, White will turn 25 in August.
