SALISBURY — A single-vehicle wreck occurred Thursday afternoon on Old Union Church Road near Salisbury. Thankfully, the driver was able to get out of the vehicle.
At 12:56 p.m., a call came in about a car that rolled over down an embankment, with one person possibly trapped.
Rowan County Rescue brought a ladder and broke a window to gain access into the vehicle. The driver was reportedly able to crawl up the ladder on her own. She was awake and responsive and EMS conducted an evaluation.
There were no passengers in the vehicle.
Weather appears to be a likely contributing factor as crossroad flash flooding and ponding was visible at the scene.
