Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports
• A resident of Scott Road was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in his home 10:20 p.m. Aug. 12. The victim told deputies that he had finished mowing his lawn when he saw two men come out of a shed or building on the back of his property carrying a gun. He said he fell on his back when he saw the weapon and the men turned him over, zip tied his hands and dragged him into the house. He said he heard the men rifling through his home before they went outside and he heard them start his car and drive away. He was able to cut the ties and get free, and said two cell phones and a Chevrolet Tahoe were taken. Deputies pinged one of the phones and got a location in Spencer but the car was not there.
