Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A 44-year-old Kannapolis man, Michael Anthony Braman, was arrested Aug. 13 and charged with burning a building or structure in process of construction and resist, obstruct or delay of an officer. According to reports, firefighters say there have been several house fires at the Howard Avenue home in the last month, and on Aug. 13, a crane was in the driveway blocking firefighters’ access and firefighters could not reach the homeowners. When deputies arrived to assist, they located Braman and a dog in the bushes of the house, and when asked for identity, the man began swearing at the deputies and walking away. Reports indicate Braman was “uncooperative.”

A burglary on U.S. Hwy. 601 reportedly occurred between 10:16 p.m Aug. 12 and 5:30 a.m. Aug. 13.

Adaysha Shaniece Pruit, 24, was arrested Aug. 13 and charged with simple assault, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance on a penal institution premises.

Andre Heaggins, 61, was arrested Aug. 13 and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Jermayne Tye Wade, 23, was arrested and charged with first-degree statutory rape and indecent liberties with children.

Salisbury Post reports

A theft of a firearm from the 300 block of Messner Street reportedly occurred between 9:45 p.m. Aug. 13 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 14.

A larceny from the 600 block of Mocksville Avenue was reported at 12:50 a.m. Aug. 15.
