ALBEMARLE — Freshman Donovan Carter scored two goals as East Rowan’s soccer team won 7-0 at Albemarle in Monday’s non-conference game.

East is 2-2.

East got a goal each from Sawyer Riley, Matt Avalos, Ivan Cervantes, Patrick Sanchez and Gates Brady.

Moises Cornelio had two assists. Riley and Avalos were credited with one assist apiece.

George Nunez and Eligh Sifford combined for five saves and the shutout.

Next for the Mustangs is a South Piedmont Conference matchup with South Rowan on Wednesday.

Julio Moctezuma scored a goal for Carson in Monday’s 2-1 SPC loss to Robinson.

South Rowan lost 3-2 to Central Cabarrus, while West Rowan fell 2-0 to Concord.
