NEW LONDON — Carson’s volleyball team let the third set get away — but not the match.

Carson (9-4) won 25-20, 25-21, 25-27 and 25-18 at North Stanly on Thursday in non-conference action.

Reese Joyner led the Cougars with 23 kills and 12 digs.

Katy Falkowski had 13 kills. Riley Wilhite had 11 kills and four blocks. Tasean Perkins had nine kills.

Rylee Hedrick had 50 assists.

Kaylee Thonen had 26 digs and took 25 balls on serve receive.
