Lonnie and Lisa Barrier of Salisbury are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Haley Ellen Barrier, to Nolan Joseph Stehr of Chesapeake, Va.
Haley is the granddaughter of Lonzo and Martha Arey and Joan Barrier, all of Salisbury, and the late Karr Barrier. She graduated as co-valedictorian from East Rowan High School in 2009, and graduated cum laude from Duke University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Haley is a first-year medical student at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
Nolan is the son of Dr. Mark Stehr and Lisa and Jeff Wagner of Salisbury. He is the grandson of the late Sally Baker and the late Joseph and Patricia Stehr. A 2008 honor graduate of East Rowan High School, he graduated from North Carolina State University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering. Nolan is a Nuclear Engineer at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
Their wedding is June 7 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
