MISENHEIMER — Pfeiffer’s women’s cross country team placed second in the Pfeiffer Invitational held on Saturday.

Makayla Borst (Carson) was second individually in 20:57 to lead the Falcons. Hayley Borst (Carson) was 16th. Katelyn Lentz (West Rowan) was 34th.

Fayetteville State won the meet.

In the men’s meet, Pfeiffer edged Fayetteville State for first place, 38-39.

Sawyer Helms paced the Falcons with a third-place finish, covering the 8K course in 26:14. Freshman Bricen Burleson (Carson) was 13th in 27:30.

Pfeiffer had seven runners in the top 15.
