SALISBURY — Housed in the October 2024 issue of Salisbury the magazine are multiple stories focusing on the topic of homes, whether it be the building, remodeling or furnishing of them.

And, on the back is a full page notice of the upcoming Historic Salisbury Foundation OctoberTour complete with ticket prices and contact information.

The cover story entitled “Playing the Long Game: Couple brings 1942 Isenhour house into 21st century” by editor Maggie Blackwell and photos by Sean Meyers, marks the journey of the Muths as they purchase and renovate the historic home.

Blackwell shares the Rowan Original feature, “Building a legacy: C.S. Bradshaw Construction owner Chris Bradshaw,” telling of this four-generation company. The story, which is in a question and answer format, is accompanied with photography by Meyers.

Those interested in antiques or looking to furnish their home with them can check out Pete Prunkl’s piece titled “Nifty Thrifty: Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity’s offer deals for antiques,” complete with photos by Duane Duvall of many antique items purchased at those locations.

“‘Go Drill Holes’: Ben Fisher creates beauty, function with Railspike Design” by Susan Shinn Turner and photos by Meyers shares the story of Fisher and how his love for wood and tools grew into his own business.
