From staff reports

West Rowan and South Rowan plan to play their varsity game at noon on Saturday at South.

Mooresville plans to play Hickory Ridge on Saturday night.

West Davidson at Salisbury; Robinson at Carson; Thomasville at North Rowan, Northwest Cabarrus at East Rowan, and A.L. Brown at Lake Norman are now set for Monday night.

A.L. Brown’s jayvee football game with Lake Norman will be played at Lake Norman on Monday, as part of an unusual JV/varsity doubleheader. Gametime for the jayvees is 4:30 p.m.

Carson hopes to play its JV game against Robinson on Oct. 14. That will mean three games in an eight-day stretch for the Cougar JVs.

North Rowan’s jayvee team hasn’t played for a while. The plan is for the Cavaliers to play Thomasville in October during the week of the Thomasville-South Davidson game, as South Davidson doesn’t have a jayvee team.

Teams were able to play some jayvee games on Wednesday night before the weather moved in.
