Powerhouse Recycling in Salisbury is collecting items to help western NC. Powerhouse Recycling is located at 220 Ryan Patrick Drive in Salisbury.

“As our box trucks and semi-trucks fill with supplies, we’ll be heading out to deliver the donations directly to those in need in North Carolina through established collection centers,” an email from the business said.

Donations will be accepted Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.

Needed items: Non-perishable food (no perishable or homemade items), water, sports drinks, clothing (new T-shirts, socks, underwear, sweatshirts, athletic shorts, sweatpants), water boots, hygiene products, baby supplies, baby formula, tarps, duct tape, sturdy trash bags, work gloves, batteries, flashlights, cleaning materials, pet food and more.

Please do not bring: gas/propane, money, homemade food or perishable food.
