ADVANCE — Erwin Middle School’s golf team shot 167 and won the Tri-County Conference Tournament on Tuesday at Oak Valley.

Ellis Middle shot 180 for second place.

Erwin’s Cam Honeycutt and Ellis’ Dawson Griffin tied for first with 38s. Honeycutt won a playoff for medalist with a 30-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole.

Holden Frick shot 40 for Erwin and finished third.

Shane Benfield has coached three straight undefeated Erwin teams.
