Rowan Democrats hold monthly breakfast on Saturday

SALISBURY — The Rowan Democrats will hold its monthly breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 10 a.m., at party headquarters, located at 1504 W. Innes St., Salisbury.
Please bring a dish to share at our potluck breakfast and be ready to cheer on candidates up and down the ballot. Local candidates will speak as available after the Livingstone College ‘Stonecoming’ parade. Enjoy hearing from performance artist and local poet Mama Patience and get a bit “riled up and ready to win offices up and down the ballot!”
Upcoming calendar events will also be shared as local Democrats celebrate our freedoms as Americans and the importance of our vote with a schedule of cook-outs, community events, volunteer opportunities, and making a plan to vote early.
Doors open at 9:45 am. We invite all voters who are leaning blue and voting for democracy in 2024 to join us as we gather to celebrate our United States and find the joy that exists when we elect leaders who believe that “the true measure of strength is based on who you lift up, not who you beat down.“
