SALISBURY — It was a big Senior Night for Salisbury volleyball, as the Hornets celebrated a successful, senior-heavy team on Wednesday.
Salisbury won 25-10, 25-3 and 25-10 against North Rowan in Central Carolina Conference action.
The Hornets finished 10-2 in the CCC and placed second. North Rowan was 2-10 in the league.
Ava Morris has 16 kills and surpassed 1,000 for her career.
Ashley Yang had 24 assists and 11 digs and was recognized for the feat of 2,000 career assists with a special ball.
Addie Myers and Jordan Henderson had four aces each. Carmen McQueen and Kendall Henderson had five kills each. Dayami Acevedo and Ella Lockhart had five digs each. Kyliah Pearson-Hasty had nine digs.
The Hornets (11-7) are 25th in the 2A West RPI rankings and appear to be a lock for the state playoffs.

Carson swept Northwest Cabarrus 25-12, 25-11 and 25-17 on Wednesday and finished the South Piedmont Conference season with a 15-1 record and a co-championship.The Cougars (21-5) are ninth in the 3A West RPI rankings.

SPC co-champ Lake Norman Charter (18-1, 15-1) is fifth in the 3A West RPI rankings and beat South Rowan 25-15, 25-18 and 25-19 on Wednesday.
Fourth-place South (14-8, 10-6) battled on Senior Night.
Meghan Eagle had six kills. Meredith Faw had five.
Faw had four aces.
Campbell Withers had 19 digs, while Faw had 13
Laney Beaver and Eagle had 10 assists each.
South is 18th in the 3A West RPI rankings.

East Rowan won 25-17, 25-8 and 25-20 against Robinson on Wednesday to wrap up the SPC season.
East is 13th in the 3A West RPI rankings.
The Mustangs (19-8, 11-5) finished third in the SPC.
Cameron Ostle had 21 kills for the Mustangs.
Ostle and Jacee Eudy had three aces each.
Eudy and Madalynn Tigert led in digs with 11.
Eudy had 35 assists.

West Rowan finished fifth in the SPC, but is 25th in the 3A West RPI rankings and is in good shape to make the playoffs.
