At 1 pm Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center released the final advisory for the remnant system, with sustained winds of 35 mph, Oscar has downgraded from a tropical storm to a remnant. Remnants of Oscar are 75 miles east-southeast of Long Island, with maximum sustained wind of 35 mph. It’s moving at 12 mph to the northeast.

YESTERDAY (Monday):

Yesterday, Oscar moved away from Cuba and advanced into the Atlantic Ocean.

CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY:

The government of the Bahamas has discontinued the Tropical Storm Warning for the Southeastern Bahamas.
