CHINA GROVE — Thieves stole 247 catalytic converters, worth a total of $123,500, from an auto parts lot last week, authorities said.
According to an arrest report, deputies were contacted April 16 after surveillance video showed a truck driving through the Copart lot near Interstate 85.
Several days later, employees at the yard found an area where the parts had been stolen, the report said.
Investigators are still processing evidence found at the scene.
