SPENCER — Brothers Fletcher and Hines Busby teamed up for the only goal as Salisbury’s boys soccer team won 1-0 at North Rowan on Monday.
Salisbury got excellent play from Lucas Webb, keeper Finnegan Avery and Johnathan Barrera.
The Hornets (18-1-3, 11-0) have enjoyed a strong season, but still have some work to do to clinch the conference championship. The Hornets close the regular season on Nov. 4 at second-place East Davidson. Salisbury needs a win or a draw to clinch the Central Carolina Conference title and the league’s “1” seed for the 2A state playoffs.
Salisbury won 2-1 in the first meeting with East Davidson.
