High school football: Salisbury JVs beat North, win conference

SALISBURY — Salisbury’s jayvee football team rolled 42-6 against North Rowan in a game played on Wednesday night.
The Hornets (7-2) lost to North Davidson and East Rowan early in the season but won the 1A/2A Central Carolina Conference. Salisbury went 6-0 in CCC play. South Davidson didn’t field a team, but the Hornets beat Lexington twice.
Isaiah Davidson rushed for three touchdowns. Kiyren Brown also scored three TDs, two rushing and one on a pass from Jordan Washington.
Washington had three 2-point conversion runs.
Bryson Pastrana blocked a punt and had two sacks. Dadrian Donald and Darrius Graham-Taylor recovered fumbles. Isaiah Foxx made six tackles.
North Rowan (2-5) scored on a Tristen Brown to Carter Williams pass play.
Tennyson Kirk had a good game running the football.
