PFLAG Salisbury Rowan hosts free concert

SALISBURY — PFLAG Salisbury Rowan, in partnership with the Women’s Chorus of Charlotte and First United Church of Christ in Salisbury just announced that a free concert fundraiser will be held on Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. entitled “Spirit Voices, a transcendent journey through sound, celebrating the depth and beauty of the human spirit.”

This concert is a fundraiser for PFLAG Salisbury Rowan and its scholarship program. Spirit Voices offers a powerful exploration of spirituality through a lens of diverse traditions and expressions, featuring works such as Dan Forrest’s Ubi Caritas, Matt and Adam Podd’s setting of How Can I Keep from Singing and Jim Papoulis’ Sih’r Kalaq (Creative Magic).

Refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall immediately following the concert at First United Church of Christ, 207 W. Horah Street in Salisbury.
