There’s a new tree in Bell Tower Green. On the morning of Nov. 18, Salisbury Public Works employees, with the help of their crane, raised this Fraser fir in preparation of the city’s upcoming Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The tree came from Sugar Mountain Nursery in Newland, said Vivian Koontz, Parks and Recreation events coordinator. She added that the city’s transportation department would be coming later to get an exact measurement of the tree and place the lights on it.
