The Carolina Artists guild will be offering a fun, creative and interactive mini-workshop at its meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Faith Center, 100 N. Jackson St. entrance) in Salisbury. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for meeting and refreshments. The program starts at 7 p.m. Guests are welcome.
Members will be joining together at the November mini-workshop to explore the fascinating and creative world of holiday and winter designs. The guild will use these designs to create both whimsical and serious custom cards and envelopes. The cards will be distributed in the community prior to Christmas to brighten the lives of others.
Attendees are requested to bring colored markers, pens, colored pencils and any other supplies you would like to use to create unique cards. Some supplies will be available, so everyone will be welcome to participate.
This has been a busy year for guild and members plan to end the year by supporting and participating in Winterfest on Dec. 6-8 in Spencer. Members will be exhibiting their art, just in time for holiday shopping. Members will also be working with young artists by providing a complimentary “Paint A Snowman “ project that kids can take home. Face painting will be provided.
