Shots fired by passing cars

About 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Nov. 21, police say people traveling in two cars fired shots at each other as they passed. The shooting took place on Partee Street near Messner Street. Reports say no one was hit or injured in the incident.

Salisbury Police reports

• An assault on Wildwood Drive reportedly occurred about 12:21 a.m. Nov. 19.

• A motor vehicle theft on North Long Street reportedly occurred between 12:53 and 1 a.m. Nov. 19.

• A motor vehicle on East Steele Street was reportedly tampered with, causing damage, sometime between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 18 and 8 a.m. Nov. 19.

• A larceny from a motor vehicle on Lincolnton Road reportedly occurred between 11:18 a.m. Nov. 17 and 11:17 a.m. Nov. 19. Total estimated loss was $1,300.

• Property damage at a property on Jake Alexander Boulevard West reportedly occurred between 3 and 3:50 p.m. Nov. 19.

• An assault on Beard Street reportedly occurred about 4:35 p.m. Nov. 19.

• A motor vehicle on Lash Drive was reportedly tampered with about 1:50 a.m. Nov. 20.

• A theft of a motor vehicle on East Innes Street reportedly occurred between 7 and 9 p.m. Nov. 19.

• A larceny on Jake Alexander Boulevard West reportedly occurred about 4:24 p.m. Nov. 20. Total estimated loss was $1,200.

• Property damage on Old Wilksboro Road reportedly occurred about 6:40 p.m. Nov. 20.

• A larceny at Andrew’s Lawn & Landscaping on Hill Street reportedly occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 20 and 11 a.m. Nov. 21. Total estimated loss was $3,752.

• A larceny at Three Star Mini Mart on West Cemetery Street reportedly occurred between 2:32 and 5:24 p.m. Nov. 21.

• A report of vandalism on South Caldwell Street reportedly occurred at 9:45 p.m. Nov. 21.

• Rodney Scott King 32, was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with misdemeanor concealment of merchandise.

• Laknesha Jael McCorkle, 28, was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute.

• Christopher Michael Russell, 25, was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with misdemeanor larceny.

• Romus Morr, 76, was arrested Nov. 21 and charged with larceny by servants or other employees.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports

• A report of property damage from vandalism on Plyler Road, Kannapolis reportedly occurred between 12:01 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 20.

• A report of property damage from vandalism on Bonaventure Drive reportedly occurred between 2:50 and 3:08 p.m. Nov. 20.

• An assault on Moon Circle reportedly occurred about 8:52 p.m. Nov. 20.

• A theft of a motor vehicle from French Belk Road, Mt. Ulla reportedly occurred between 5 p.m. Nov. 18 and 9:04 p.m. Nov. 20.

• Hunter Gray Koontz, 33, was arrested Nov. 20 and charged with habitual felon.

• Ahmad Tyrick Bates, 27, was arrested Nov. 20 and charged with assault by strangulation.

• Timothy Wayne Kindley, 42, was arrested Nov. 20 and charged with habitual felon.

• Robert Wayne Farris Jr., 58, was arrested Nov. 20 and charged with assault on a female and crime of domestic violence.
