SALISBURY — Several street closures accommodating the annual ‘Tis the Season Holiday Parade and Spectacular in the Park event in downtown Salisbury will be in effect on Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Residents and visitors should plan for temporary traffic adjustments throughout the day.

The “Tis the Season Holiday Parade will begin at 3 p.m. followed by the Holiday Tree Lighting event starting at 4:30 at Bell Tower Green to officially kick off the holiday season.

The following closures will be in effect:

• 6 a.m.: Jackson, Church and Fisher streets surrounding Bell Tower Green will close to traffic.
• Noon: A section of North Main Street from Kerr Street to Lafayette Street and Cemetery Street from Lee Street to Church Street will close to traffic.
• 1:30 p.m. to approximately 6 p.m.: Main Street from Kerr Street to Mooresville Road, along with accompanying side streets, will close to traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and follow posted detour signs. Pedestrians are welcome to enjoy the parade festivities, which celebrate the holiday season with vibrant floats, marching bands, and community cheer.
