WINSTON-SALEM  — Freshman Juke Harris (Salisbury) hit 3 of 5 from beyond the arc and scored 12 points off the bench for Wake Forest in a 72-66 win in the Demon Deacons’ Atlantic Coast Conference opener on Saturday.

Wake Forest (8-3) hosts James Madison on Dec. 17.

WHEELING, W. Va. — Wheeling blew out West Virginia Wesleyan 95-65 on Saturday, with Tee Harris (East Rowan) getting 15 points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes. Harris is averaging 12.4 points and 8.0 rebounds.

RICHMOND, Va. — Jailen Williams (Carson) had 11 points and five assists in Claflin’s 79-76 win at Virginia Union on Thursday. Williams scored five as Claflin (5-4, 2-0 CIAA) rolled at Bowie State 80-58 on Saturday.
