Kelaine Crawford Haas
Kelaine Crawford Haas earned a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology and Genetics on March 12, 2012, from the University of Minnesota. Her research focused on the genetic requirements for low temperature growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
During her time in graduate school, she mentored 32 undergraduate students doing laboratory research in the College of Biological Science.
Dr. Haas graduated from Salisbury High School in 2002 and from Wake Forest University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She has accepted a position at the University of Minnesota as the Undergraduate Research Coordinator for the College of Biological Science.
Kelaine is the daughter of Brenda Malone Zimmerman and the granddaughter of the late Paul and Mary Frances Glover and the late Nancy Stoner Malone. She and her husband Paul make their home in St. Paul, Minn.
