Argument leads to stabbing
An argument sometime Dec. 21 ended when the woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend. The victim went to the Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center for treatment, which then contacted police. The victim is expected to recover.
Makenzie Annette Stephens, 29, was and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, simple assault and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

• A burglary on East Cemetery Street reportedly occurred about 10 p.m. Dec. 21.
• An assault on South Craige Street reportedly occurred about 7 a.m Dec. 22.
• Vandalism of a property on West Innes Street reportedly occurred at 3:01 p.m. Dec. 22.
• Vandalism of a property on Bendix Drive reportedly occurred at 6:36 p.m. Dec. 22.
• A theft of automobile accessories from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts reportedly occurred between 5 p.m. Dec. 20 and 8:25 a.m. Dec. 23.
• Property damage from a hit and run on Jake Alexander Boulevard South reportedly occurred about 1:26 p.m. Dec. 23.
• An assault on West Innes Street reportedly occurred at 4:25 p.m. Dec. 23.
• Candice Barber, 19, was arrested Dec. 21 and charged with nine counts of forgery of bank notes and obtaining property by false pretenses.
• Calvin Demetrius Ellison, 55, was arrested Dec. 21 and charged with misdemeanor shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree trespassing and warrant service.
• Jeffrey Boyd, 56, was arrested Dec. 21 and charged with misdemeanor second-degree trespassing.
• David Seth Morales, 26, was arrested Dec. 22 and charged with felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Michael Israel Jones, 23, was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with resist/obstruct/delay of an officer, felony motor vehicle theft, possession of stolen good and felony flee to elude arrest with a motor vehicle.
