SPENCER — As of this week, the N.C. Museum of Dolls, Toys & Miniatures is presenting a brand-new, charming experience for tea lovers and museum-goers alike — the Afternoon Tea Series.
The weekly event will take place every Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m., offering an inviting setting for visitors to enjoy British-style afternoon tea amidst the museum’s collection of dolls, toys and miniatures.
Located at the new location, 440 South Salisbury Avenue, Spencer, the museum invites guests ages 13 and up to unwind with friends over tea, treats and lively entertainment. Guests will enjoy a selection of teas and refreshments hosted by Marie Clanton, as well as fun door prizes, games and the chance to engage with fellow attendees.
Adding to the atmosphere, attendees can relax and laugh along to two British TV series: “Keeping Up Appearances,” a sitcom, and “Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries,” a period drama.
The cost is $5 for museum members and $10 for non-members. Payment is accepted upon arrival. Seating is limited, so be sure to call ahead to reserve your spot at 704-762-9359
For those who are not yet museum members, there’s still time to join and enjoy discounted admission. Go to https://ncmdtm.org/
