HARROGATE, Tenn. — The good news was 11 Catawba Indians scored at Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, but the bad news was that none of them scored more than 10.
Nick Walker had 10.
Lincoln Memorial held Catawba to 16 points in the first half and blew out the Indians 83-53 for a South Atlantic Conference victory. A crowd of 650 witnessed the romp at Frank Turner Arena.
Lincoln Memorial (13-2, 11-1) is ranked 11th nationally and leads the SAC. The Railsplitters shot 51 percent from the field.
Catawba has usually fared poorly against Lincoln Memorial, especially when making that long road trip to the Kentucky/Tennessee border. The Indians are 2-19 on the road against the Railsplitters and haven’t won there since 2008.
Catawba (10-7, 7-6) had made a successful road trip and earned a big win at Coker on Wednesday, but didn’t have anything left for the Railsplitters.
Catawba shot a dismal 23.9 percent for the game and was 3-for-21 on 3-pointers.
Wes Enis scored 20 for the Railsplitters, who sustained their only SAC loss this season against Lenoir-Rhyne, another nationally ranked team.
