Price ~ Grantham
KANNAPOLIS — McKenzi Leigh Price of Geneva, Ala., formerly of Kannapolis, and Joseph “Bucky” Grantham of Chancellor, Ala., were united in marriage Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Bethpage United Methodist Church. The Rev. Duane Melton officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the Vintage Motor Club in Concord.
The bride was escorted by her father, David W. Price, and attended by Angela Bailey of Kannapolis as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sherri Armes, Kelly Scoggins, Cameryn Armes and Danielle Price of Kannapolis; Tracy Fowler of China Grove; Ashton Walker of Mooresville; Amber Thomas of Concord; and Carysa Overcash of Southport.
Eugene Grantham stood as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were brother of the groom Chris Cain of Chancellor, Ala.; brother of the bride Patrick Price of Kannapolis; and Jeremy Strickland, Michael Welch, Evan Harvin, Chad Wambles, Ryan Wambles, Greg Summers and Cary Coles, all of Enterprise, Ala.
Flower girls were Caitlin and Mallory Armes and Kinsley and Addison Fowler; and ring bearers were Cody and Colton Cain.
The bride is the daughter of David and Trisha Price of Geneva, Ala., and the granddaughter of Mildred and the late David H. Price and the late Maynard and Geraldine Drye, all of Kannapolis. A 2004 graduate of South Rowan High School, McKenzi earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Troy University in 2012.
The groom is the son of Tim and Sylvia Pope of Chancellor, Ala., and Eugene and Dianne Grantham of Enterprise, Ala. He is the grandson of the late Albert and Jeanell Beane of Chancellor, Ala., and Hazel Joines and the late Zack Grantham of Enterprise, Ala. A 2001 graduate of Enterprise High School, Bucky earned his Airframe and Powerplant License from Enterprise State Junior Community College in 2009. He is an aircraft mechanic for Army Fleet Support.
The couple will make their home in Chancellor, Ala.
