Benjamin and Carrie Hampton Brown of Organ Church Road, Rockwell celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 21, 2012.
The couple were feted with a special reception at Organ Lutheran Church. The event was hosted by their children, Kaye Brown Hirst of Salisbury, Amy Brown of Greenville, S.C., and Ted Brown of Matthews.
Ben and Carrie were married Oct. 19, 1947, at Organ Lutheran Church. They are owners and operators of BrownŐs Nursery.
