CONCORD – S&D Coffee and Tea is expanding and revitalizing its Concord corporate headquarters and operations facilities. Local residents driving by on Concord Parkway will see the changes being put into place over the next few months. Major renovations will begin by mid-July.
Among the renovations, all landscaping and the entire main entrance of the building, including the reception area, will be totally redone to allow better access and greater comfort for S&D visitors and customers.
Energy efficient windows and exterior fascia will be installed, and a multi-purpose conference room will be built directly above the current reception area. Offices and restrooms located on the upper level will also be remodeled.
“Our current office space has served us well for nearly four decades, but because S&D is growing so steadily, we realized that the time was right to refresh our office structure,” said Ron Hinson, chairman and CEO of S&D Coffee and Tea. “It is all part of our ongoing growth, both as a company and as a member of our community. In the upcoming months we plan to communicate more news about further expansion, including additional facilities. We have a number of locations under consideration. Cabarrus County, neighboring counties and other states are all options for us.”
S&D Coffee and Tea is the nation’s largest custom coffee roaster and the largest blender of iced tea for the food services industry in the United States. In continuous operation since 1927, S&D serves more than 80,000 customers through national distribution and direct store delivery.
