Brooke Danielle Waller
Brooke Danielle Waller received her Master of Arts degree in Public Communication from American University in Washington, D.C., May 12, 2012. She successfully completed a one-year master’s program and finished her last semester with all A’s in her academic courses.
Brooke’s master’s thesis project was titled “Public Health Crisis Communication in the Digital Age: An Analysis of U.S. Government Agency Communication and Coordination Response to the H1N1 Flu of 2009.”
At American University, Brooke interned at the U.S. Dept. of Commerce as a Public Affairs Intern. This summer she is interning with the U.S. Geological Survey as an Internal Communications Intern in Reston, Va.
Brooke graduated magna cum laude from North Agricultural & Technical State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communication with concentration in Public Relations.
She started her journalism career with the Salisbury Post as a news intern during her junior and senior years of high school. She aspires to be a Public Affairs Specialist with the U.S. government.
A 2007 honor graduate of Salisbury High School, Brooke is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.Bolden and Carol Waller of Salisbury and the granddaughter of Clara Richardson of Salisbury.
