Guardian ad Litem volunteer training class begins Aug. 6

The Rowan Guardian ad Litem program will hold a volunteer training class beginning Monday, Aug. 6.
Volunteers are needed to train as court advocates for children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect. Any adult over the age of 21 with a sincere desire to look out for the best interest of a child while their case goes through the court system is encouraged to apply. Persons must be able to pass a criminal background check and a fingerprint may be required.
Interested persons should download an application at www.ncgal.org and bring the application to the Rowan GAL office at 310 N. Main St., Salisbury by Tuesday, July 31. Information is also available by calling the GAL office at 704-784-4151.
