The East Rowan High School Future Farmers of America is hosting a progressive agriculture safety event today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Throughout the day, elementary and middle school students will learn how to be safe in a rural environment by participating in a variety of activities.
They will rotate through safety sessions about tractor and farm equipment, sun care, first aid, farm animal safety, chemical safety, hearing protection, all-terrain vehicle safety and disease prevention.
A $5 fee will cover lunch, snacks, a T-shirt and bag of safety materials.
